Singular in V, regular and non-measurable in HOD

Kingsborough Community College, CUNY

Getting a model where $\kappa$ is singular in $V$ but measurable in ${\rm HOD}$ is somewhat straightforward however ensuring that $\kappa$ is regular but not measurable in ${\rm HOD}$ is a surprisingly more difficult problem. Magidor navigated around the issues and I will present his result starting with one measurable. His technique can be extended for set many cardinals.

Professor Friedman earned her Ph.D. at the CUNY Graduate Center in 2010 under the supervision of Arthur W. Apter, and now holds a faculty position at Kingsborough CC of CUNY and is active in the logic seminars at the Graduate Center. She conducts research in forcing and large cardinals, with a particular emphasis on aspects of definability.
